Wastewater of textile industry enterprises is usually contaminated with soluble dyes. These include surfactants, sometimes with high content of acids. They are purified using several methods: mechanical, chemical and biochemical, each providing a corresponding sanitary effect. The chemical method uses coagulants. Doses and types of reagents depend on the type and concentration of dyes in water and overall characteristics of wastewater. Selection of the most effective coagulant is made on the basis of the factory’s activities and water contamination level.
